James Huffman, MSc, is the president & CEO of the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI), a leading research organization in health and productivity. The IBI provides benchmark information, research and tools that professionals need to make sound decisions in how they invest in the health of their workforces.
Previously, Huffman was the head of employee benefits at Fidelity Investments, where he oversaw a comprehensive suite of health, financial and wellness benefits for more than 50,000 employees. In this role, he focused on driving improved physical, financial and emotional well-being of employees and their family members.
Prior to his role at Fidelity Investments, he served as the head of benefits at Bank of America, where he was responsible for the strategy, design and management of employee benefits for more than 250,000 employees and retirees. He also was the senior manager of U.S. benefits at Dell Computer Corporation.
Huffman earned a Master of Science in Health Care Transformation from the University of Texas at Austin and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Worcester State University.
Huffman was appointed as a member of the PCORI Board of Governors by the Comptroller General of the United States in September 2020.
