Karen Kippen, MSA, is the primary investigator for the Eugene Washington Engagement Award titled “Engaging Patients and Other Stakeholders to Develop a Patient-Centered Research Agenda for Cancer Precision Medicine.” She has also been involved with two Henry Ford Health System Pipeline to Proposal Awards: “Transforming the Gift of Life into a Transplant Living Community (TLC)” and “What’s the SCOOP? Discovering Quality-of-Life Outcomes That Matter to Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Oropharynx (SCOOP) Patients and Their Families.” She is a certified medical technologist (MT-ASCP) with a Master of Science in administration. She became an Ambassador to learn more about PCORI and has been a member for three years.
