Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered - Volunteer
LaShae Wilson is a certified medical assistant in an OB-GYN clinic. In August 2019, she learned she is a carrier of a BRCA1 mutation. Her research led her to Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered, a patient advocacy group that participates in a PCORI Patient-Powered Research Network, where she is a peer navigator, research advocate, and message board moderator. She will soon join a peer program with Georgetown University.
