 Laura Leighland conducted several lab research trials with mutant and wild-type C. elegans. The team found that C. elegans has an affinity for sweet odors, which provided supplemental material that will be applied to patient health and pharmaceutical goals. Laura Leighland is also a statistician and is pleased to utilize her professional experience and writing skills as a PCORI Ambassador.
