As an occupational therapy professor, Lorry Liotta-Kleinfeld has been concerned with not only teaching her students the research process but involving them in projects that are based on expressed needs of caregivers of children with special needs. Some of the studies have been conducted in the school setting with some parents providing permission for results to be shared with teachers and other stakeholders, allowing research outcomes to make a meaningful impact as results are translated into practice. Liotta-Kleinfeld is interested in learning about PCOR initiatives and larger-scale endeavors to involve stakeholders and disseminate evidence-based research information in meaningful ways.
