Maureen Fagan, DNP, MHA, is a doctorally prepared family nurse practitioner, recognized as a fellow by the American Academy of Nursing and the National Academy of Medicine for her contributions related to bringing together patient advisors and clinical researchers on research grants. She has served as a PCORI mentor, researcher reviewer, and patient advisor on several PCORI studies. Fagan is a strong proponent of integrating patient and family caregivers’ voices into clinical research and creating hospital operations-based patient/family advisory councils.
