Meagan Spencer is a certified and practicing speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has Tennessee Professional Educator and Health Board licensures. She is also certified in Lee-Silverman Voice Treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease. Currently, she serves as the Vice President for Communications of the Tennessee Association of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Her research has focused on two main areas: clinical outcomes of educational programs in partnership with community organizations and research on neurological disease. Specifically, Meagan’s goal is to help students and community partners find solutions to serve rural areas in rehabilitation clinical practice as they are not a widely available resource in these areas. She wants to improve patient outcomes in the areas of accessibility and holistic practice, including not just rehabilitative therapeutics, but also counseling. Meagan received her BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders and MS in Speech-Language Pathology from Harding University and my EdD in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education from Abilene Christian University.
