Michelle Price has been involved in patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) since 2016 when she joined the Coalition for National Trauma Research (CNTR). CNTR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings the trauma community together with a unified focus to achieve federal research funding commensurate with the burden of disease to enhance the national research infrastructure supporting high-impact, multidisciplinary clinical trials. Their coalition includes patient advocacy organizations as well as trauma care and research stakeholders across the continuum of trauma (injury prevention, pre-hospital emergency care, acute care, rehabilitation, and long-term outcomes). Michelle has had the opportunity to collaborate with PCORI researchers and is currently working on a PCORI Implementation Project award and an Engagement Award. She holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health and has nearly 30 years of research experience, primarily at the UT Health - San Antonio Medical School/Department of Surgery. Michelle is motivated to promote PCORI’s ongoing work and disseminate project findings among trauma community stakeholders.

Note: not all of our funded projects focus on a single disease or condition; some touch on multiple diseases or conditions, research methods, or broader health system interventions. Such projects won’t be listed by a primary disease/condition and so won’t appear if you use this filter tool to find them. View Glossary
