Natalie Miller-Moore has been pleased to serve as a PCORI Merit Reviewer for one round; she has reached out to health organizations in her community as a PCORI Ambassador; and has participated in three annual meetings. Her work as a healthcare communicator—writing, interviewing, and researching—informs how she interacts with PCORI, and she believes that patient-centered initiatives are the future of healthcare progress. Miller-Moore would like to be more involved in smaller task force–type projects as well as meet people, gather insight, and create reports to use for future innovation. She is motivated to spread the word about PCORI because she believes in its mission and vision, and she has been an Ambassador for the past five years. Miller-Moore works in health care every day, and she believes that these small shifts in how people think, talk, and act make a huge difference—the commitment to co-learning, for example, leading us to respect lived as well as professional experience—and it gives her hope and motivation for the future.

Note: not all of our funded projects focus on a single disease or condition; some touch on multiple diseases or conditions, research methods, or broader health system interventions. Such projects won’t be listed by a primary disease/condition and so won’t appear if you use this filter tool to find them. View Glossary
