Peter Woods finds that being a co-investigator for a PCORI study is very rewarding. The study is called Prepare Now. It deals with educating patients and family members about dialysis. Woods has been a dialysis patient for five years and then received a kidney transplant. He wants to share his knowledge and experiences related to everything he has gone through. He hopes his experience can help someone else who is facing dialysis. Woods holds a Bachelor of Science in business. He was a New York Police Department Sergeant who was a first responder at 9/11. After retirement, he became ill from exposure to toxins at Ground Zero.
