Rachel Mahas
Wayne State University - Assistant Professor

Rachel Mahas has ten years’ experience in the field of public health and an interdisciplinary educational background in basic medical sciences and clinical laboratory sciences. Her MPH is in Community Health and her PhD in Health Education, both with a focus on Epidemiology. Her research interests include identifying the decision-making processes and developing effective interdisciplinary interventions surrounding population health. In addition, she has several years of curriculum development for Nursing and Public Health Sciences programs. In her current PCORI-funded work she adapts and modifies curricula.
Rachel is interested in being more involved in cancer control and prevention activities and curriculum development.
