Richard James, MLIS, MBE, has lived experience caring for a child with a chronic congenital disorder and has been involved in numerous advocacy organizations and national research collaboratives focusing on bringing a family-centered voice to the clinical research agenda. As a PCORI Ambassador, he hopes to find opportunities to further advance the family- and patient-centered agenda in research in areas of leading clinical significance. By profession, he is a medical librarian at a children's hospital.
