Bob Stevens, Ph.D., received his doctorate from Florida State University with an emphasis in research statistics. He has 40 years of experience in education as a teacher, coach, principal, college administrator and professor. He has been vice president at Charleston Southern University as well as vice president of marketing and research at Benefitfocus.com, a website that provides technology solutions to health insurers. His current initiatives include: Advisory Board and Scientific Review Committee of the South Carolina Translational Research Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina; patient investigator for the STAR Clinical Research Network at Vanderbilt University; co-principal investigator for the School Mental Health PCORI Eugene Washington Dissemination project; chair of the Southeastern School Behavioral Health Conference; and president of the South Carolina Association of Positive Behavior Support Network.

Stevens has recently been an invited speaker on the topic of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) implementation and coaching at the Southeastern Conference for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support, the Southeastern School Behavioral Health Conference, Louisiana’s Safe and Supportive Schools Initiative Annual Conference, the National Conference on School Mental Health, and the National PBIS Leadership Forum. He is currently the guest editor of the Journal for Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities in Youth, and recently authored a chapter on aligning and integrating family engagement in PBIS.
