Roberta Smith does not have previous professional experience with patient-centered outcomes research, but she does have an interest in taking her research involvement to a level that would help her use the patient voice to advance research in Alagille syndrome. Smith got involved with the Ambassador Program as a way to enhance the Alagille Syndrome Alliance’s research roundtable, funded by a Eugene Washington PCORI Engagement Award, and to help facilitate working groups and collect data and outcomes that will help lead research.
