Shelley Fritz realized the impact of PCORI through her involvement with Creaky Joints and the Global Healthy Living Foundation, where she has been a regional outreach manager and a research patient partner. She currently serves as chair of the Patient Governance Group with ArthritisPower (ARthritis Partnership for Comparative Effectiveness Researchers). She also works with GlaxoSmithKline on its patient advisory board, offering input on future research components and support for patients, and held a similar role with Eli Lily as an advisory board member. While residing in Florida she facilitated a patient support group through the Arthritis Foundation. She is retired after a 25-year career teaching elementary students and coaching teachers.
