Suzanne Madison, PhD, has been involved in research for the past eight years, as a participant in a clinical trial, a senior research associate, and graduate of Harvard Medical School, Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program. Moreover, she has experienced asthma her entire life and has learned to advocate for herself and other patients. Her advocacy includes experience organizing community outreach and coordinating service delivery systems while employed by various community resource agencies, government, and nonprofit organizations. Her background and experience is in public health and clinical trials. Prior to her research career, she started a medical practice with her partner and served as the administrator for 17 years. She holds graduate degrees in public administration (MPA) and public health (MPH), a doctorate in public health (community health track), and a certificate in clinical trials from Harvard Medical School.

Madison served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement from Fall 2016 to Fall 2018.
