As a person living with type 1 diabetes, Tian Walker is passionate about patient-centered research that can ease the burden of living with the disease. He believes patient-centered research is essential to understanding disease and making improvements in care. Walker has an undergraduate degree in biological anthropology and is in a MS/PhD program at the University of Oregon where he is studying biological anthropology in order to conduct research with people living with diabetes.
