Tracy Carney is a senior recovery/resiliency specialist at Community Care Behavioral Health where she works and engages with members and Certified Peer Specialist Programs across Pennsylvania. She has worked on several innovative programs, such as self-directed care, decision support centers, and trainings in wellness coaching to integrate physical and behavioral health. Carney was employed with Columbia Montour Snyder Union Behavioral Health Services for seven years and made many important contributions to the development of mental health services designed to address the health and wellness needs of individuals with serious mental illness. Her experience as the stakeholder co-principal investigator on the PCORI Optimal Health study, along with her lived experience as a mental health service user, was integral to the development and ongoing dissemination and implementation of an evidence-based behavioral health home model. She is a certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner and a certified peer specialist.

Carney served on the Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement from August 2019 to August 2022.
