Uday U. Deshmukh, MD, MPH, is HealthHelp’s Chief Medical Officer. In this role, he leads all medical management and clinical quality-related activities as well as medical policy and technology assessment. He is also an adjunct assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Before joining HealthHelp, he was senior medical director of clinical operations at Florida Blue, leading strategic and operational effectiveness of medical management. He has served on the board of directors of Duval County Medical Society. Previously, he served as national senior medical director for complex and specialty case management for Cigna Healthcare, was in clinical practice, and served as a consultant to Keystone First. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a life member of the American College of Physician Executives, and a member of the Florida Medical Association. Deshmukh received an MD from Delhi University and an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Deshmukh served as a member of the Advisory Panel on Rare Disease from April 2014 - April 2017.
