Valerie Lehman, MHA, is a Program Officer for Engagement, Dissemination, & Implementation at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Most recently, she worked at Anne Arundel Medical Center, a regional health system based in Annapolis, Maryland (now part of Luminis Health), where she was a practice manager for a large oncology and hematology physician's practice.
Lehman’s experience at Anne Arundel Medical Center also included managing the palliative care program and government affairs work. Her prior professional experience includes serving as a health policy fellow in the Washington, DC, office of Congressman John P. Sarbanes and in various program support positions at the Institute of Medicine (now the National Academy of Medicine) for more than three years. She first developed an interest in health care by interning for Congressman Patrick J. Murphy in 2010 during the crafting of the Affordable Care Act.
She graduated from George Washington University with a master of health administration in 2016 and from Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College with a bachelor of arts in international politics in 2009.
