Project Summary
Citizen Pscientist is a crowd-sourced pilot research project created by the National Psoriasis Foundation that allows patients with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis to create their own patient-driven research community by contributing data about their disease, submitting potential queries, and analyzing their results to come up with larger research questions. The goal of this new online community will be for patients, researchers, and other stakeholders to develop ideas collaboratively to direct future psoriatic disease research and, eventually, to select comparative effectiveness questions related to psoriatic disease research that can be further studied by psoriatic disease researchers. We hope that these questions will create opportunity for high-impact science that accelerates the research that would impact and help psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients the most.
