PCORI-funded women’s health research focus is expanding, but key groups of women’s health stakeholders are unaware or under-aware of PCORI’s mission, vision, and funding opportunities. This project is designed to educate the women’s health community about PCORI-funded women’s health research and create a broader exchange between PCORI and the women’s health community. This community includes women’s health centers, women’s health professionals, academic research centers, clinics, women’s health advocacy organizations and their respective constituents, and industry. HealthyWomen is proposing to create an exchange between PCORI and the women’s health community via its senior leadership about PCORI-funded women’s health research and patient-centered research outcomes at two innovative events in 2015: a women’s health research roundtable in Washington, DC, in February, and the Women’s Health Leadership and Innovation Leadership Showcase in New York City, in May.
The projected outputs from this project are to educate the women’s health and research communities about PCORI-funded women’s health research through events and roundtables; and increase awareness among consumers about the importance of clinical research, and participating in clinical trials.
Project collaborators include an Illustrator/note-taker; and event planning consultant.
