Methodist Healthcare Ministries (MHM) of South Texas, Inc., will hold the Advancing Health in South Texas Engagement Series to convene patients and stakeholders across a 17-county area to develop a coordinated regional approach for patient-centered research and evaluation among university systems, academic institutions, managed care organizations, and public health systems. Actionable, measurable engagement will be used to create a clear and intentional framework to guide system alignment and ensure patient feedback and authentic engagement in future research and evaluation dissemination practices. MHM will convene meetings throughout the region to create planning tools, identify a common research agenda, and design the necessary infrastructure needed for relevant and meaningful patient informed research dissemination strategies for the next decade. MHM believes the quality of care is greatly improved when patients are well-informed to become their own healthcare advocates.
