Project Summary
Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) is sponsoring a series of meetings in 2016 and 2017. Our goal is to support the ability of patients, stakeholders, and researchers to play significant roles as partners in patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR) and comparative effectiveness research (CER) ultimately ensuring that the results of research will benefit underserved populations and achieve health equity. Our specific aims are to: disseminate and discuss the current landscape of PCOR and CER; engage patients, stakeholders, clinicians, and researchers in sharing unique perspectives on patient-centered outcomes; and build the capacity of underserved populations to engage in PCOR and CER.
The initial meeting will be held as a pre-conference event to our 14th international conference, May 10, 2016 in New Orleans. Two regional sessions will be held in 2017 in Raleigh, North Carolina and Chicago, Illinois to expand our reach to vulnerable populations.
