Project Summary

The Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) symposium will bring together patient advocacy groups, researchers, government agency representatives, and others interested in observational research to learn from OHDSI collaborators who will showcase their methodological research, open-source development, and clinical applications. Attendees will learn how standardized observational data, use of open-source analytical tools, and a collaborative international data network can be used to generate real-world evidence. Participants will have the opportunity to provide input that will shape how an international research community can prioritize its efforts to support patient-centered outcomes research and inform medical decision-making.  This one-day event will include research presentations from OHDSI collaborators and interactive demonstrations of the OHDSI tools to foster a community that can work together to revolutionize how medical evidence is generated.

The projected output from this project is increased engagement and improved ability to receive feedback from stakeholders.

Project collaborators include participants from academia, government, industry, and patient groups; and symposium attendees.
