Project Summary

The project’s objective is to present the “CUE 2017 Summit: Leveraging the Power of Patient & Consumer Advocacy to Transform Healthcare,” to facilitate expansion of patient-centered outcomes research/clinical comparative effectiveness research and improved patient and consumer engagement in research implementation practices. Consumers United for Evidence-based Healthcare (CUE), a coalition of patient/consumer organizations, will host the summit. CUE provides one of the few conferences where patients and consumers are the focus. Thus, patients/consumers are the leaders of this important conference, which aims to provide education, networking, and exchange of best practices and experiences. By juxtaposing the 2017 summit with the 2017 Guidelines International Network North America (G-I-N NA), CUE builds on a longstanding and growing relationship in an area that will benefit from increased patient engagement in research implementation.
