The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) believes that policy makers and other stakeholders should be knowledgeable about public and private sector research efforts comparing the effectiveness of various treatments in improving patient outcomes. This is of heightened importance in 2017, given the arrival of a new administration and Congress.

To this end, BPC will host two educational forums on patient-centered outcomes research and comparative effectiveness research that will feature speakers representing patient groups, the research community, the healthcare sector, and government.

The forums will be developed in consultation with a broad range of stakeholders and will strive to feature a diverse sample of viewpoints on stage. The events will feature ample time for questions from in-person attendees and online viewers. The forums will be live webcasts, recorded and archived on BPC’s website, and summarized in blog form.
