Project Summary

The Cystic Fibrosis Reproductive and Sexual Health Collaboration (CFReSHC) is committed to patient-engaged research through partnerships with people with CF, researchers, and advocates. Our collaborative is working together to develop comparative effectiveness research (CER) questions that will respond to the health needs of the CF community and provide data for healthcare professionals for better clinical decision making. Our goal is to pave the way for improved sexual and reproductive health and CF outcomes, resources, care provision, and knowledge for people with CF, starting with issues that directly affect women with CF. In Tier II, CFReSHC will consist of three groups: a Governance Board, Cystic Fibrosis-Patient Task Force, and the Research Advisory Panel. Our collaborative will refine our CER questions based on the priorities of the CF community, enhance our governance structure, develop a comprehensive communications plan to recruit new members, disseminate our work, and deepen and expand our existing partnerships in the CF community. These activities further our mission to partner with people with CF and other stakeholders to develop a CER research proposal that effectively addresses the highest-priority research gaps related to sexual and reproductive health for women with CF.
