The Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) will present a symposium at its 30th annual conference to educate attendees on PCORI and comparative effectiveness research (CER). The event will feature a select PCORI-funded CER project as a case study in successful research development as well as a relevant CER finding for the nurse audience. This conference will be held November 2-4, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. It is an annual educational and networking event for nurses, nurse practitioners, and other members of the healthcare team involved in the prevention, care and treatment, research, and public policy related to HIV and its comorbidities such as hepatitis, TB, mental health and substance abuse and treatment, associated social factors, and health inequities. The proceedings from this symposium will be widely disseminated through the peer-reviewed Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care and other communications channels to thousands of nurses globally. The goal is to increase knowledge of PCORI, PCORI resources, CER and utilizing CER in practice among ANAC members, other nurses, and healthcare team members.
