Project Summary
Through a PCORI pipeline Tier I award, Denver Health, an integrated safety net delivery system serving predominantly uninsured and publicly insured patients, has taken the lead in establishing a multidisciplinary advisory committee consisting of clinicians, patients, community stakeholders, and researchers focused on improving the health of super-utilizing females (>3 admissions within a year) who experience overlapping mental health, physical health, and substance use issues. This 12-month Tier II pipeline project will focus on continuing to build and mature our advisory committee and collaboratively identifying a viable comparative effectiveness research question. The ultimate goal of this work is to develop an engaged and structured partnership that will work collaboratively toward identifying and defining a future research proposal to improve services for super-utilizing women.
