Project Summary

We are a group of stakeholders interested in enhancing physical activity in individuals with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Our group is excited about continuing to work together during the Tier II phase to further develop our partnerships; add stakeholders who will fill in gaps in skill, knowledge, or experience that our group identifies; and continue to build on the work we have accomplished during Tier 1. Our plan is to have 10 in-person meetings to achieve the milestones outlined in the proposal to strengthen our partnership in order to accomplish our goals for the Tier II phase of this Pipeline to Proposal (P2P) proposal. The long-term goal of the IDEAS for PD P2P project is to develop a research proposal to submit to PCORI that will compare two established interventions to improve physical activity levels in individuals with PD with outcomes that are relevant to this population. The overall goal of our IDEAS for the PD P2P Tier II project is to strengthen our current stakeholder partnership and work toward defining a comparative effectiveness research question that will compare two established interventions to enhance physical activity in individuals with PD.
