Project Summary
The Success in Early Recovery Workgroup is a forum to explore problems and potential solutions to achieve the most successful recovery from alcohol or other drugs. The population of focus is urban transitional-age youth (ages 18–25) in recovery from substance use. Patients, researchers, family members, therapists, physicians, policy makers, and other stakeholders have joined to explore potential solutions to enhance outcomes in early recovery, via a patient-led collaboration. The partnership has decided on a broad topic area to pursue: using an electronic addiction treatment or recovery support system to aid patients in early recovery. For Tier II, our partnership is considering a variety of different electronic interventions as a basis for comparative effectiveness research questions.
