The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute hosted a workshop in which a broad group of stakeholders — including patients, caregivers, clinicians, payers, purchasers, hospitals, health systems, the life sciences industry, researchers, funders, policymakers — provided input on opportunities and challenges around defining and measuring patient-centered value in health and healthcare.

The overall goal of the workshop was to support PCORI's — and the broader healthcare community's — understanding of "patient-centered value" and how to address it in comparative clinical effectiveness research. While participation in the discussion was by invitation only, members of the public were welcome to listen in via teleconference/webinar.

The workshop consisted of a main session and five breakout sessions.
