The Cost of Implementation of Evidence-Based Practices: A Special Article Collection in Medical Care
The costs associated with implementing an evidence-based program are a critical consideration for organizations seeking to improve practice in accordance with research findings. Yet information about the cost of implementation is not often available to health care decision-makers.
In this collection of articles from the October 2023 issue of the journal Medical Care, five PCORI-funded project teams examine the costs health care settings can expect to incur in promoting the uptake of specific evidence-based programs and illuminate key features of the teams’ approaches to measuring the cost of implementation.
