The Prioritizing Principles for Infrastructure Funding Relating to PCORnet®, the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network, align closely with PCORI’s overall strategic planning and will be used by the PCORI Board of Governors and staff to guide decision making about PCORI infrastructure funding for the next stages of PCORnet.

These Prioritizing Principles focus on research infrastructure funding, recognizing that the further stages of PCORI strategic planning would focus on the development of Strategic Research Priorities. Throughout these Prioritizing Principles, the phrase Strategic Research Priorities refers to those priorities established through PCORI’s strategic planning process as well as those established through PCORI’s reauthorizing law, such as intellectual and developmental disabilities and maternal morbidity and mortality.
