The project team and its multi-state Special Olympics partners hosted a Health Research Summit focused on research collaboration and building capacity related to health disparities, health promotion, and access to health services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). A framework for building research partnerships was developed to support the engagement of researchers and self-advocates with IDD on comparative effectiveness research activities within and across universities.
