With the rapid expansion of digital communication tools, there is a growing sense that telehealth can help people manage their health and improve their access to care. It may be especially valuable in areas where health professionals and facilities are sparse.
To answer questions about how well telehealth works for different populations under various circumstances, PCORI has funded more than 90 comparative clinical effectiveness research studies. These studies, listed below, aim to help patients and those who care for them make better-informed decisions about the use of telehealth to prevent, diagnose, and treat conditions.
