At its November 19, 2019 meeting, the Board approved $70 million to fund 21 studies and related projects designed to improve care for health conditions that impose high burdens on patients, their families and the healthcare system.

Eighteen of the newly funded research awards will compare the most effective ways to treat a range of illnesses and health conditions, such as posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety in young people, and age-related hearing loss. The Board also approved funding for three Dissemination and Implementation projects to move the results of PCORI-funded research into practice. Learn more about the awards.
