Fellow Ambassador, Suz Schrandt, presented on the work of the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) and two PCORI-funded engagement awards. SIDM is an organization of clinicians, researchers, patients, patient safety advocates, and others who work to improve diagnosis and eliminate diagnostic errors and the harm that results from these errors. SIDM produces a large amount of content to educate the medical field and the public at large about the prevalence and danger of diagnostic error, and convenes workshops and conferences to bring key stakeholders together to join in executing the mission of improving diagnostic quality. SIDM received two engagement awards from PCORI aimed at growing community and skill-building in the realm of diagnosis-focused PCOR and CER.
